How to connect Batteries in Parallel?
Connecting batteries in parallel is when you connect both the positive terminals together and both the negative terminals together.
Connecting batteries in parallel will increase the combined capacity (amp hour) of the pack but will maintain the nominal voltage. For example, if you have 4 x 3.2V (Volt) 200ah (amp hour) LiFePO4 cells connected in parallel, the total capacity will increase to 800ah, however the voltage will remain at 3.2 Volts.
When connecting cells/batteries in parallel, the capacity of each battery doesn’t need to be the same capacity (ah) as when combining them in parallel just increase the total combined capacity.
