Unpacking 48 of the EVE 304 cells, I find all arrived intact, all nicely flat sided, and test to within 10 mV of each other, i.e. no practical need for a top balance before building the battery with BMS (the JK has a 2A balancer), and a Heltec 5A balancer, since hefty charging of the big cells can be hard for a modest balancer to compete with.
A 31 kW array will milk useful power even in rain-free overcast, but 46 kWh of storage can't hurt when off-grid, as climate change is growing clouds, I think.
Ernest knows his stuff, and that's good to deal with, I find.
